About
Building cheap autonomous interceptors—starting on the bench.
Vandaris Defense is an early-stage research effort building attritable kinetic interceptors guided by onboard vision. Today: YOLO + pixel error on a Raspberry Pi 5, a 5" FPV airframe, Gen-1 FEA / twin concepts, and a live sim IBVS demo. Closed-loop flight is next—not field-deployed.
How we work
Technical execution in-house: vision pipeline, airframe CAD/FEA, radar architecture, and this site. Simulation and bench hardware first—ship proof before claiming flight.
Stage today
Detection + Δx/Δy on Pi 5; interactive sim IBVS on the autonomy page; Gen-1 FEA and SITL on the platform page. Motors not closed yet.
Next: map pixel error to rates, mount the Pi on the airframe, then a real flight demo.
Near-term objective
Close the vision→motor loop on the 5" FPV and produce an outdoor / range-ready demo before Summer 2027.
Status
Early-stage research on the V-1 vision-guided interceptor. Public pages document real bench and simulation work—not field-deployed systems.
